The School of Engineerings wet laboratories hold an inventory of collectively over 3000 chemicals which periodically must be catalogued and rationalised. The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint a motivated and selfdriven intern to compile the Schools chemical inventory for 2025 and coordinate disposal of chemicals that are no longer required.
This internship offers the chance for the successful candidate to gain valuable experience supporting the safe and sustainable management of laboratories working in labs conducting cuttingedge academic research. They will also gain understanding of the role Health & Safety culture plays in research laboratories in particular the importance of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
This post is fulltime 35 hours per week) based entirely oncampus.
The salary for this post is 23114 to 25148 per annum and is available on a fixed term basis for 10 weeks.
