Architectural Detailer

Overview: As an Architectural Detailer at Ohio Gratings Inc. you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings developing bills of materials and providing technical support to our sales and operations teams. You will work closely with various crossfunctional teams including manufacturing logistics accounting and suppliers to ensure our products meet customer needs and exceed expectations. This is an onsite office position that requires a dynamic and collaborative approach in a teamoriented environment with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Work Environment: This position requires the ability to work onsite in a fastpaced office setting. The work involves extensive periods of sitting but also requires mobility within the office to interact with team members and stakeholders. You will be working in an environment that fosters collaboration teamwork and open communication and youll be expected to work closely with others across various departments. Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of manufacturing machinery engineering practices mathematics and building materials to create accurate and detailed drawings for structures and products.

• Provide clear complete documentation in drawings showing dimensions material specifications and other necessary details.

• Develop bills of materials material takeoffs and ensure proper tolerance and dimensioning including welding and manufacturing symbols.

• Maintain accuracy in documenting engineering changes revisions and updates to drawings bills of materials and related documents.

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (sales operations project managers manufacturing logistics and suppliers) to resolve any productrelated issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Participate in product strategy and development offering recommendations for improvements in cost delivery and quality based on engineering drawings and production feedback.

• Communicate projectspecific information with account and project managers to ensure alignment on timelines budgets and customer expectations.

• Ensure work areas are clean and organized maintaining a professional clutterfree environment for yourself and your team.

• Engage in continuous learning to stay current with industry developments and technologies that could benefit your work and Ohio Gratings.

Physical Requirements:

• This role involves extended periods of sitting at a desk using a computer.

• Regular movement around the office for collaboration with team members and management.

• Occasional need to take steps to visit production areas or meet with other departments.

Qualifications:

• Education: A 2 or 4year degree in engineering drafting/design or a technical field is required.

• Experience: Experience with metals welding symbols and manufacturing processes is preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD 2007 Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) Epicor SolidWorks Bluebeam and experience with MRP/ERP systems is required.
