Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.
Role type: Full time Year Round
Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic include:
- Inspect service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including excavators loaders graders bulldozers zoom booms and scissor lifts
- Perform preventative maintenance and make required repairs
- Ability to read/trouble and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
- Maintain documentation of inspections maintenance and repairs
- Physical endurance being able to lift 50 lbs. at a time
The ideal candidate has:
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Work well unsupervised
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Physically able to reach stretch bend and walk during daily routine with ability to stand for long lengths of time
- Ability to lift 50Lbs
- Level 3 apprentice or higher
- Valid drivers license with a clean abstract
- Class 5 Driver License an asset
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Employee Benefits:
- Compensation: $30.00$40.00 per hour
