Job Description

Overview

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Role type: Full time Year Round

Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic include:

  • Inspect service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including excavators loaders graders bulldozers zoom booms and scissor lifts
  • Perform preventative maintenance and make required repairs
  • Ability to read/trouble and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
  • Maintain documentation of inspections maintenance and repairs
  • Physical endurance being able to lift 50 lbs. at a time

The ideal candidate has:

  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Work well unsupervised
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Physically able to reach stretch bend and walk during daily routine with ability to stand for long lengths of time
  • Ability to lift 50Lbs
  • Level 3 apprentice or higher
  • Valid drivers license with a clean abstract
  • Class 5 Driver License an asset
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Employee Benefits:

  • Compensation: $30.00$40.00 per hour
