About the role
The Field Sales Manager will be based in Melbourne and is accountable for the achievement of agreed sales distribution profitability merchandising and promotional targets for Heaps Normal across our on and off premise customers nationally. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the FMCG industry a passion for the on premise channel and a proven track record of managing field teams to achieve growth and distribution targets. A strong network within the FMCG industry is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align field sales activities with company goals and objectives.
- Drive market penetration and identify new business opportunities within the region.
Team Management:
- Lead coach and inspire a team of 10 Field Sales Representatives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews set clear KPIs and ensure individual and team goals are achieved.
- Foster a highperformance culture through mentorship feedback and training initiatives.
Sales :
- Monitor daily and weekly sales activities ensuring productivity and accountability.
- Support the team in achieving territoryspecific sales objectives through strategic planning and .
- Assist with customer meetings presentations and closing highvalue opportunities.
Field Operations:
- Conduct regular field visits to observe and support sales representatives in customer engagements.
- Ensure accurate sales reporting forecasting and CRM system management.
- Oversee territory planning and resource allocation to maximize coverage and results.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop strong relationships with key customers partners and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing operations and product teams to provide insights on customer needs and market trends.
- Represent the company at industry events trade shows and conferences as needed.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Analyse sales data market trends and team performance to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare regular reports on team performance sales results and pipeline status for senior leadership.
About you
- 5 years of experience within the FMCG industry with at least 2 years of field team management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- A creative thinker with a proven track record of developing people and high performing teams
- Deep understanding of FMCG/Liquor industry. Previous Craft Beer experience not essential but highly regarded
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines. MS Office Google Suite
