Job Description

Accounting & Asset Management Specialist Lichfield

Location: 2nd Floor 1618 Conduit Street Lichfield LJ WS13 6JR GBR
Contract Type: Permanent (Fulltime)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Office & Remote)

About The Role

We are looking for a detailoriented and proactive Accountant & Asset Management Specialist to join our team in Lichfield. This role combines financial accounting and asset management responsibilities supporting operations in Portugal while working from the UK. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills experience in asset management and fluency in Portuguese.

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work both remotely and from our Lichfield office.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and post journal entries for monthend close including prepaids depreciation and credit cards.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and review financial statements.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts (prepaids fixed assets banks).
  • Assist with external audits and financial reporting.
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting requests.

Asset & Portfolio Management

  • Review contractual documentation and register assets in YARDI.
  • Manage postclosing activities including contract validation and rent processing.
  • Conduct financial audits and data verification for portfolio optimization.
  • Handle revenue enhancement reports and support rent adjustments (IPC updates registered letters and YARDI modifications).
  • Monitor income declaration submissions and liaise with external consultants.
  • Assist with negotiations renewals and expansions including meetings with operators.
  • Oversee site decommissioning processes ensuring proper contract review and CRM tracking.
  • Follow up on unpaid invoices (AR aging reports) and liaise with landlords and operators to resolve issues.

What Were Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
  • 23 years of experience in accounting asset management or a related area.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook Word PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Pivot Tables VLOOKUP and financial analysis in Excel.
  • Experience with YARDI (preferred but not required).

Languages

  • Portuguese (Native or Advanced) Required.
  • English (Fluent) Required.

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
