We provide our clients with professional services specialised aerospace and defence sales delivery and operational subject matter expertise. We are looking for personnel to join our team and support key client projects.

Who we are supporting

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATOs member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels Belgium.

The NCIA provides a wide range of services including:

  • Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATOs communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
  • Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATOs military commanders to plan and execute operations.
  • Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
  • Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATOs mission to detect deny and defeat threats to its communication networks.
  • Information Management: The NCIA manages NATOs information technology infrastructure including its databases applications and servers.

Overall the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATOs communication and information technology capabilities.

The program

Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATOs principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides maintains and defends the NATO enterprisewide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV and when required stand together in the face of attack under Article V.

To provide these critical services in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performanceengaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorises: NATO International Civilians (NIC)s Military (Mil) and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.

Role Background

To strengthen the Alliance through connecting its forces the NCI Agency delivers secure coherent cost effective and interoperable communications and information systems in support of consultation command & control and enabling intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities for NATO where and when required. It includes IT support to the Alliances business processes (to include provision of IT shared services) to the NATO HQ the Command Structure and NATO Agencies.

NCI Agency CIS Support Unit (CSU) Mons enables endtoend CIS services as it maintains and supports a range of CIS capabilities during peacetime crisis and war throughout its allocated Area of Responsibility (AOR) and as otherwise directed as specified in the extant Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) Cyberspace Directorate directs monitors and coordinates all Cyberspace Operations (CO) Electronic Warfare (EW) Electro Magnetic Spectrum (EMS) activity and Communications and Information Systems (CIS) functional area activities and staff functions across ACO.

The Cyberspace Service Management Branch provides the primary interface for ACO engagement with NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) exercises oversight from operational acceptance of all cyberspace capabilities that deliver Communication and Information Systems (CIS) services and support to ACO including the centralised service.

Role Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support LSLA Team: Provide LSLA Portfolio/Programme/Project status and progress overview to management.
  • Establish an Inventory Database: Create and maintain an organized uptodaterepository for all CIS assets tracking.
  • Prepare Status Reports: Compile and analyse project data track key metrics and deliver timely status reports to stakeholders summarizing project progress identifying risks and highlighting critical updates.
  • Provide acquisition support: Schedule and organize portfoliorelated meetingsincluding preparing agendas ensuring availability of premeeting materials recordingminutes distributing notes and tracking action items for followup.
  • Facilitate Communication: Act as a liaison between CISPOCs the Warehouse and the LSLA office ensuring effective communication and timely dissemination of updates while addressing stakeholder queries.

Asset Inventory Database

  • Develop and maintain an uptodate inventory database accessible bydesignated HQ personnel.
  • Frequency: Monthly Updates
  • Format: Secure digital access and monthly PDF/Excel summaries.

Acquisition & Disposition Reports

  • Provide recommendations and records for asset acquisitions transfers and disposals
  • Frequency: Quarterly
  • Format: Report in PDF and Excel formats with justifications and cost analyses.

EndofLife (EOL) Asset Management Plan:

  • Advise on replacement plan for aging assets aiming to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Frequency: Annual EOL report with quarterly updates.
  • Format: Asset lifecycle roadmap with timelines and cost projections.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • ITIL v4;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software;
  • Proficient in relevant software and tools for IT service management;
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on problemsolving and decisionmaking;
  • Advanced research and analytical skills;
  • Understanding of the NATO CIS priorities;
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization;
  • 3 years of experience in providing CIS support reporting and project coordination;
  • Experience working in CIS projects and programmes;
  • Experience coordinating CIS assets
  • Experience analysing and providing CIS requirements
  • Experience developing and maintaining databases

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience or strong interest in CIS technologies;
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency;
  • Certification or proven experience working in the CIS Domain and CIS educational workshops;
  • Knowledge of NATO CIS projects and programmes;
  • Knowing and understanding the key players in the NATO CIS enterprise for prompt coordination;
