Job Description
NiX is looking for a Middle Power BI Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure that supports Power BI solutions. This role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure data integration optimization and reliability. You need to be passionate enough to think & perform out of the box to add innovation to improve your daily tasks and to work SMART (Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant and Time bound).
Our client is one of Europes fastestgrowing mobile companies with over four million active customers 1000 employees worldwide and operations in five countries. The client is using the mobile virtual network operator business model.
Responsibilities:
- Design Implement and Maintain robust backend solutions to support Power BI reports and dashboards
- Collaborate with data analysts business intelligence teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Create test and deploy Power BI scripts as well as execute efficient deep analysis
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues related to data connectivity refresh failures and performance bottlenecks
- Optimize and tune existing Power BI data models and datasets for performance and scalability
- Implement security measures to ensure data privacy and compliance with industry standards
- Stay abreast of Power BI updates and industry best practices to continuously improve backend processes
- Work closely with database administrators and IT teams to ensure seamless integration with underlying data sources
- Document backend processes configurations and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference
- Provide technical support and training to endusers on Power BI backend functionalities
- Clearly and concisely communicating to the business on status of items and blockers
Requirements:
- Strong experience with MS Azure
- 3 years of proven experience as a backend engineer with a focus on Power BI solutions
- Knowledge of Power BI architecture data modeling DAX and ALM Toolkit
- Proficient in designing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures
- Handson experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration
- Familiarity with data governance security and compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills attention to details
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field
Nice to have:
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with Synapse
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of languages such as Python
- Microsoft Power BI Certification
- Experience in working with repository tools such as BitBucket GITHub Docker
