The Workers Compensation Eligibility Case Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing workers compensation claims within a selfinsured environment. This role involves assessing claim eligibility coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Assessment: Evaluate new claims for eligibility under selfinsurance policies and applicable workers compensation laws.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with injured employees healthcare providers legal teams and customer injury management personnel to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims activities communications and decisions made throughout the claims process.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all claims comply with state and federal regulationsand internal policies regarding selfinsurance.
- Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to injured employees regarding their rights benefits and responsibilities under workers compensation laws.
- Training and Development: Assist in the training of staff on workers compensation assessment processes and selfinsurance practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration Human Resources Risk Management desirable.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in workers compensation claims management or case management.
- Strong knowledge of workers compensation laws and selfinsurance regulations.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess complex information and make informed decisions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Problemsolving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Empathy: Understanding the challenges injured workers face and providing compassionate support.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid or Remote work arrangement available.
- Occasional travel may be required for meetings or site visits.
