What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pickup truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Ensure that all vehicle systems comply with regulatory standards and obtain necessary certifications to fulfill legal requirements environmental regulations and safety standards and to ensure the performance efficiency and compliance of Scouts vehicles.
• Conduct indepth analysis of understand and interpret regulatory standards and homologation requirements for vehicles and components.
• Stay updated on regional regulations such as EPA CARB NHTSA TC and EEEC in North America and other relevant regulations standards and best practices to ensure adherence to changing requirements.
• Develop and implement homologation strategies and plans to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Oversee development teams including safety emissions noise and other relevant evaluations for vehicles and components and align the testing process with regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare and submit documentation reports and technical data to regulatory agencies for homologation and certification purposes.
• Collaborate with internal crossfunctional teams including design engineering and manufacturing to address any compliancerelated issues or concerns and support them in resolving any noncompliance issues identified during the homologation processes.
• Work closely with external certification agencies and regulatory bodies to establish positive relationships and facilitate the homologation process.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at inperson meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

• Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering automotive engineering electrical engineering or a related field.
• 10 years experience with homologation testing data analysis and interpretation for vehicles and/or components.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant regulatory and homologation standards and requirements such as EPA CARB TC EEEC ECE FMVSS CCC ADR or other regional regulations.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components including powertrain chassis electrical and electronics.
• Familiarity with testing protocols and equipment for safety emissions range and other relevant evaluations.
• Proficient in using relevant software tools for data analysis such as MATLAB Excel or similar applications.
• Professional certifications related to vehicle systems or regulatory compliance are a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Pay Transparency

This is a fulltime exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $120000$135000
