This position is for a Summer Instructor/Teacher in one of our Chadwick Summer Programs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing high quality teaching and instruction to participating students in the Chadwick Summer Program.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work Saturday June 21 2025 through Friday July 25 2025 Program not in session on the following holiday July 4 2025.
  • Attend a staff onboarding session the week beginning Monday June 16th (onboarding sessions are 2 hours in length)
  • Complete in person CPR training the week of June 16 2025
  • Attend a mandatory staff training day on Saturday June 21 2025 from 9:00am 3:00pm
  • Plan interesting and exciting activities that are sequential and have set outcomes that are achievable for all students during the length of the Summer Program.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Summer Program including Counselors.
  • Must maintain safe work practices and follow all safety and security procedures.
  • Must enjoy working with children aged 4 14.
  • Attend afterhours events shows and performances as required and determined by the class taught.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education experience and skill requirements

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to work early in the morning or late afternoon a plus.
  • Individuals with previous applicable experience are preferred.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • The ability to work with children is essential.
  • The ability to legally work in US is required.

Compensation based on experience and highest degree earned. College degree starts at $35.50

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Walking and being outdoors for somewhat extended periods of time on a regular basis is part of the job as the school sits on 45 acres of land
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
  • Will use telephone computer copier and other office equipment in the course of a day.
