What youll be doing
As a Senior Manager reporting to the Director of Advanced Analytics you will play a pivotal role in executing the Data Analytics (DA) strategy and projects within Internal Audit (IA). You will collaborate closely with both the DA and IA teams to leverage analytics providing assurance to the bank through support for audit engagements continuous monitoring and proactive analysis of emerging risks.

How youll succeed
Audit analytical support Lead the development of tests across all Internal Audit portfolios encompassing engagement planning data acquisition design development testing communication with clients report generation documentation and implementation.
Automation and continuous monitoring Assist in the development and of the Continuous Analytics strategy. Identify opportunities to reduce manual testing through datadriven automated methods enhancing the continuous assurance model within Internal Audit.
Visual and text analytics AI/ML & cloud technology Serve as a subject matter expert in the development and of automated analytics and reporting dashboards. Utilize advanced analytics techniques including text analytics Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) along with tools such as SAS SQL Python Power BI and Tableau. AI handson experience as well as familiarity with Cloud Technology is a benefit.
Problem solving and communication with client Conduct root cause analyses of identified issues articulating observations in line with Internal Audit standards. Review data outputs and key performance metrics to provide meaningful analyses. Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills to gather business requirements from and to convey findings to nontechnical audiences effectively. Generate creative presentations for distribution.
Continuous improvement Foster a culture of continuous development and improvement. Proactively design and implement analytics engagements that help IA assessing emerging risks. Review analytics industry best practices and and recommend enhancements to audit processes for greater efficiency.
Who you are
You have a degree (preferably at the graduate level) in business computer science statistics engineering or other relevant field of study
You can demonstrate strong foundation in mathematics/statistics data querying and proficiency in one or more analytics coding languages (e.g. Python SAS R). Handson experience in AI projects. Familiarity with CIBC data sources applications and technology platforms as well as risk management processes is an advantage
