We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance NSA.
Responsibilities
- Conduct generalledger account reconciliations verify accuracy of data and review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
- Support monthly quarterly halfyear and yearend financial closes including assigned journal entries balancesheet account reconciliations accruals and overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
- Become proficient in commission management systems utilized by the company including entering commission data updating status of existing policies and reviewing reports calculate and process commission payments for sales team.
- Assist with Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.
- Receive record and bank cash checks and vouchers.
- Assist the team on monthend close procedures and annual audits. Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting systems for financial transactions.
- Perform ad hoc duties as requested.
- Provide general support to the accounting and finance team.
Education and Experience
Do you have:
- 13 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
- Bachelors degree in accounting.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly trainable with a solid grasp on accounting basics.
- High proficiency with MS Office applications especially Excel.
- Use of an ERP system.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor and willingness to learn.

This role is based out of our Lawrenceville New Jersey headquarters and you must be within a commutable distance.
HYBRID TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY IN OFFICE.
