We are looking for a Senior Search Engineer to help build and scale Fullscripts search experience. The Search Team is responsible for everything searchrelated on the Fullscript platform enabling healthcare practitioners and patients to seamlessly find the right products to support their wellness journeys. As a Senior Engineer you will contribute to search architecture optimize indexing strategies and improve the search experience through relevance tuning and performance enhancements.
This role requires handson experience with search technologies ranking algorithms and scalable indexing. You will collaborate closely with engineers data scientists and product managers to improve search capabilities and drive innovation in searchrelated features.
What Youll Do:
- Design develop and optimize search capabilities within Fullscripts platform.
- Improve query performance ranking algorithms and relevance tuning.
- Implement and maintain largescale indexing pipelines.
- Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to enhance the search experience.
- Monitor and troubleshoot search performance issues.
- Apply machine learning and AI techniques to improve search relevance and ranking.
- Develop logging analytics and observability solutions for search insights.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Strong experience in software engineering with a focus on search technologies.
- Strong experience with Elasticsearch OpenSearch or similar search engines.
- Understanding of information retrieval ranking algorithms and query parsing.
- Experience working with highscale search applications.
- Proficiency in Ruby Python Java or another backend programming language.
- Familiarity with GraphQL TypeScript and React is a plus.
- Experience with vector search learningtorank techniques and AIpowered search is a bonus.
- Passion for search engineering scalability and performance optimization.
