We are inviting applications for the position of VicePrincipal at cole Central Elementary School effective August 1 2025. We will be accepting applications until 4:30 pm on Monday April 7 2025.
** There is an expectation of proficiency in French and a background and/or commitment to the Fine Arts
Ecole Central Elementary School of the Arts is a K6 Fine Arts French Immersion school located in the heart of downtown Fort St. John in the beautiful Peace River Valley. We offer an early French immersion program which begins in kindergarten. Fourteen percent of our students are of First Nations ancestry. Our school has a staffing compliment of 15 teachers and 8 support workers as well a principal and viceprincipal reading support teacher and a .4 librarian. Additionally we are looking for an individual with the following attributes:
- Five years of successful elementary or secondary teaching experience. This position will involve a significant teaching assignment.
- Experience in supporting extracurricular activities i.e. sports fine arts etc.
- Experience in working with parents as educational partners.
- Experience in building an inclusive classroom and school environment.
