Job Description

Untether AI is building the worlds highestperformance energycentric AI inference accelerator. We are a rapidly growing Torontobased startup with employees across Canada and the US (and even a few outside North America).

We are searching for a technical leader to drive and grow our firmware and silicon validation teams. Candidates should have experience building and leading teams that develop software for custom silicon. Untether values tight hardware/software codesign. We are looking for a leader who will bring technical excellence to the firmware and validation team while building constructive partnerships with other crossfunctional groups.

Responsibilities

    • Manage and grow the Firmware and Silicon Validation teams
    • Lead through the entire product life cycle concept through end of life
    • Deliver firmware validation infrastructure and tests suitable for simulation rapid
    • prototyping hardware bringup manufacturing test and mission mode deployment
    • Contribute strategic direction for the broader company
    • Drive detailed planning and across the team and with partner teams

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

    • Must have technical and people leadership experience
    • Must have developed high end custom silicon (CPU GPU SOC NICs etc.
    • Must have 1st silicon success experience for first power on of new hardware
    • Has lead firmware and/or silicon validation teams
    • Familiar with clocks resets PCB components and complex IPs like PCIE or DRAM
    • Delivered test software to silicon and PCB manufacturing
    • Codesigned and coplanned silicon with hardware software and product teams
    • Expert in HW and SW best practices. Ready to lead the team that connects the orgs.
