Job Description
Overview:
OHASP required.
Position works out of Eastland Primary Care location.
Job Description Summary:
Job Description:
- Examines patients teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues.
- Cleans teeth by removing plaque tartar and stains.
- Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provides advice on diet and lifestyle choices that can impact oral health.
- Administers local anesthesia and applies cavitypreventive agents such as fluoride and sealants.
- Takes and develops dental Xrays to help diagnose dental problems.
- Keeps detailed patient records and maintains a clean and sterile work environment.
Education Requirement:
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school required.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
Licensure Requirement:
- Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio required.
- Passed the National Boards required.
- Passed the Northeast Regional Boards required.
Certifications:
Certified in CPR required.
Skills:
- Robust communication skills required.
- Demonstrates ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients.
- Possesses strong manual dexterity.
Experience:
Six months of relevant experience preferred.
