Job Description

Overview:


This position is accessible to licensed occupational therapists licensed speechlanguage pathologists and certified therapeutic recreation specialists.


Job Description Summary:


Assists the coordination of daily clinical operations and the planning evaluation and implementation of program services. Manages and evaluates staff ensuring quality patient care and compliance with standards and regulations.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Assists with the daily operations of the department including policies and procedures budget management recruitment and other administrative tasks.
  • Supervises department staff providing clinical leadership and expertise and ensuring compliance with performance standards and external regulatory agencies. Assists with the training and continuing education of staff.
  • Performs the clinical duties of department staff effectively interacting with patients families health care teams and supervised staff.
  • Participates in departmental planning marketing and implementation of new programs. Assists with coordination of departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Serves as an advocate and liaison for department in committees and meetings and with internal and external groups.


Education Requirement:

Bachelors Degree in related field required.


Licensure Requirement:

Applicable licensure registration and/or certification as required by professional discipline.


Certifications:

CPR certification required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration.


Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service communication negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Effective leadership decisionmaking and supervisory skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.


Experience:

  • Three years experience in a clinical setting required.
  • Experience in a leadership capacity preferred.
