Key Account Manager (f/m/d)

The position is opened at one of RUAGs location: Zrich Vienna (Austria) Dresden (Germany) Gothenburg Linkoping (Sweden). Parttime home office is possible.

Your area of responsibility

Strategic Partner

  • Be the central Point of Contact of the RUAG Space Key Accounts allocated to you the Key Account being one of the Europeans prime.
  • Cultivate a productive accountoriented approach with the key decision makers at the Key Account locations
  • Be the voice of the key account within RUAG and feeds RUAGs strategy and R&D roadmap with input considering the key account hot buttons

Sales Enabler

  • Investigate partnerships to increase the probability to win the campaigns especially on the subsystems tenders
  • Generate invitations to bid (RfIs/RfQs) from the key account focus
  • Collaborate with sales teams to maximise profit by upselling or cross selling
  • Participate in the companys marketing activities (exhibitions companys events

Strategic Planner

  • Develop and implement long term customer strategic plan to drive sustainable & profitable business for the assigned Key Accounts and Category
  • Execute & adapt plans for assigned accounts that are aligned with business objectives and customer strategies

Market Listener

  • Systematically scout and report market potential and market trends in your area providing insight on the end customer competitive environment
  • Provide regular information on market trends to senior management

Your profile

  • Experience of3 5 years in the space industry is a MUST ideally
    • within a Strategy / Procurement / Business Development organization of a Prime or
    • as Business Development / Sales Manager of a L1 supplier or
    • as Consultant / PM of a global consulting firm supporting space industry
  • Solid personal network within at least one of the major European primes. Networking skills are key
  • Good knowledge of the space market and competitive landscape
  • Ability to upsell strategic / custom solutions to a strategic account as well as penetrating and closing strategic targets
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (ie. Powerpoint Excel Power tools) and CRM system
  • Flexibility to travel
