Director - Campus and Cloud Networking

Your Career

We are looking for a dynamic and highly technical Director of Cloud and Campus Networking to join our fastpaced highgrowth organization. This handson leadership role requires a strong leader with expertise in cloud networking campus infrastructure and people management. The ideal candidate will drive the architecture strategy and operational of all networking and cloud initiatives across the organization. This individual will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver robust scalable and secure networking solutions.

Your Impact

• Provide Cloud and Campus Network engineering and operational leadership in close partnership with SRE and Platform teams
• Ability to hire and retain a worldclass and diverse engineering teams
• Build and lead a Networking Product Engineering organization that owns the architecture and deployment of Cloud and Campus Networking products
• Working closely with SRE and Platform teams to ensure bestinclass availability and Infraascode capabilities of Cloud & Campus Networks
• Own definitions of service monitoring to ensure uptime and performance including synthetic real user system application performance dashboards etc.
• Define measure and meet key Service Level Objectives including availability performance level of automation incidents and chronic problems 
• Drive a resultsoriented culture with a strong focus on quality and speed
• Recognize process and product gaps early and able to drive changes to achieve better outcomes

Qualifications :

Your Experience 

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience or equivalent military experience required
• 12 years of strong handson technical experience including 5 years spent in technical management leading teams
• Extensive experience on architecture design of large scale data platforms machine learning analytics and datadrive applications
• Experience building scaling and running production operations 24x7 for heterogeneous applications in a cloud environment
• Proven experience attracting retaining and growing top engineering talent across geographically distributed teams
• Ability to nurture and support a strong operations culture: customer/service focus excellent technology; high quality implementations; selfmotivated innovation and problemsolving
• Demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining metricsbased process improvement
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships with those outside of your immediate organization
• Experience in building and managing strong technical teams

• AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Azure networking (VPC VPN Direct Connect Peering)
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking concepts
• SDWAN (SoftwareDefined Wide Area Networking)
• Network Load Balancing (NLB)
• Cloud Security (VPC security groups IAM policies Cloud Firewall)
• Cloud Automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation)

Campus Networking:

• Routing and Switching (Cisco Juniper Arista or similar)
• Wireless Networking (WiFi 6 WiFi 5 WiFi controllers access points)
• Network Security (Firewalls VPN Network Access Control (NAC) IDS/IPS)
• SoftwareDefined Networking (SDN)
• LAN/WAN Architecture and Design
• Network Monitoring and Management Tools (SolarWinds Wireshark etc.

Additional Skills:

• High Availability Networking (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning
• Data Center Networking (VLAN STP BGP OSPF)
• Automation/Scripting (Python Ansible Bash etc.
• Virtualization (VMware NSX HyperV)
• Network Performance Monitoring (SNMP NetFlow)

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications experience and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level the starting base salary (for nonsales roles) or base salary commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $224000/YR $318000/YR.
