The Role
Greater Sydney Parklands (GSP) is offering an exciting opportunity for aSenior Manager Strategy and Design. This role is responsible for developing and leading the preparation and implementation of strategies masterplans design frameworks and strategic projects to drive strategy and deliver on capital programs and projects in line with GSP objectives.
Creating worldclass public spaces requires vision collaboration and expert project management. In this role you will:
- Provide expert advice and collaborate with stakeholders on planning design and development projects.
- Undertake planning urban design strategy and design processes.
- Project manage the delivery of projects and programs from inception through design phases
- Engage and communicate with various boards government agencies stakeholders and the community.
- Lead consultants contractors and internal staff in a manner that fosters a positive collaborative team environment.
- Lead ongoing business development and system improvements.
What You Will Bring to the Role
- Proven seniorlevel experience in leading the delivery of strategic plans masterplans design concepts and design documentation.
- Track record of successfully managing consultants and contractors to achieve highquality results while driving complex projects in fastpaced challenging environments.
- Background in design and project management processes.
- Strong visual and verbal communication skills to support the delivery of highquality project outcomes.
- Highly motivated adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic everchanging environment.
- Strong time management skills to manage competing priorities and keep projects on track to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset to engage with and lead diverse stakeholders and community groups to achieve the organizations goals.

What is an essential requirement:
- Degree qualification or higher in landscape architecture urban design architecture or other relevant discipline.
- Project management experience and the ability to balance a highvolume workload
- Current Australian drivers license and ability to travel to and attend work at any site within the GSP portfolio.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
