This position is based out of Portland Oregon. The Referral Response Coordinator (RRC) utilizes healthcare knowledge expertise independent industry specific judgement and medical protocols to support all aspects of the organ donation referral process in the Donor Service Area (DSA) hospitals in Oregon southern Washington and southwest Idaho.
This position will provide referral call coverage and onsite response to area hospitals to conduct medical evaluation on all potential organ donors and develop a plan with the healthcare team to maintain the option of donation. The RRC also acts as an integral support role to the other clinical roles at Cascade Life Alliance (CLA). The duties of this position are in support of CLAs mission and goals.

Job Related Knowledge Skills and Abilities (Competencies):
The referral response coordinator triages all incoming patient referrals conducts onsite huddles in partner hospital ICUs as appropriate remotely assists onsite Organ Donation Coordinators. The RRC works for 1224 hour period and may travel via commercial aircraft and vehicle.
Marketing and education responsibilities include: Provide education to hospital staff for the purpose of increasing organ donation.
