Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of an Electrical Contracts Manager on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 28.18 36.95 per hour
Summary:
The Electrical Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing boroughwide electrical schemes works packages and projects to ensure high standards of service delivery. The role includes managing contractors consultants and internal teams while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management support to the electrical safety team.
- Plan develop and prioritise workloads to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee and manage the monthly performance of contractors and consultants.
- Contribute to investment strategies to improve building electrical installations and fire alarm systems.
- Develop and review project budget applications forecasts and financial reports.
- Lead procurement and contracting processes for compliance and costeffectiveness.
- Manage consultations with residents officers and councillors for clear communication.
Qualification:
- Educated in a range of electrical disciplines i.e. City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 2391 Inspection Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations 2382 18th Edition BS7671 etc.
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience of working within a team in a managerial capacity.
- Experience of managing/monitoring contract programmes
- Experience of managing projects preferably within a housing context
