Job Description
Structural Designer
Minneapolis MN Direct Hire $29 $33/hr
Konik is partnering with a local engineering consultant who is seeking to add a structural designer to their team.
Structural Designer Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare detailed construction documents including layout plans sections and details following CAD standards and project requirements.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure structural designs align with project goals safety standards and client specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to Structural Technicians review their work for accuracy and ensure design consistency.
- Coordinate structural designs with internal team members external consultants and product vendors to optimize project efficiency.
- Communicate directly with clients and contractors to address RFIs and field questions and review shop drawings for accuracy.
Structural Designer Qualifications:
- Associates or Certificate in architectural or structural design or similar with at least 3 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software and drafting standards for structural design.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings specifications and engineering calculations to ensure accurate designs.
- Experience coordinating with project teams clients and contractors to support project .
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site observations and field measurements.
