Anaplan is looking for a Director of Global Payroll who brings vast payroll expertise to our US UK and other international payroll teams.You will partner and collaborate with the Benefits People Operations IT Legal and Accounting teams to deliver payroll services that optimize operational excellence and manage risk. This leader will be a key partner in developing and implementing strategies to systematically scale the payroll operations and related systems while maintaining quality accuracy internal controls and compliance.

This role reports directly to the Corporate Controller. Our ideal candidate will enjoy a hybrid work schedule with two days/week in our Miami office.

Your Impact

  • Oversee teams of domestic and international payroll full cycle processing for US and International subsidiaries
  • Recruit and develop the bestinclass talent that will be subject matter experts and points of contact for all internal and external payroll inquiries
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to scale and optimize the global payroll administration that can support new and existing payrolls in various regions
  • Actively engage and collaborate with crossfunctional teams and leadership to ensure business objectives and priorities are met and executed effectively
  • Lead coach mentor and train the team including completion and achievement of SMART goals
  • Design and implement workflows and internal controls within systems to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately timely and in compliance with International federal state local and countryspecific laws and regulations
  • Monitor the latest payroll and wage laws and regulations to ensure tax and benefits compliance is maintained within systems
  • Ensure quarterly and annual filings and reporting requirements are executed with accuracy and are filed timely for all jurisdictions
  • Participate in the design and implementation of internal controls and documentation per International/Federal/State compliance requirements
  • Manage payrollrelated financial closing activities for the month/quarter/yearend and external audits: payroll journal entries payrollrelated account reconciliations and related balance sheet flux analytics
  • Lead or assist on special tasks and projects as needed (e.g. M&A payroll integration entity set up system implementations etc.

Your Experience

  • Bachelors degree or higher in accounting finance business or other relevant or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of progressive experience overseeing the processing of multistate and multicountry payrolls for large exempt and nonexempt workforce with handson responsibilities
  • Experience with Workday systems and ADP WFN
  • Experience transforming a payroll function to maximize automation scalability and costeffectiveness
  • Strong project management experience including the ability to manage project plans dependencies critical path activities and milestones
  • Highly analytical aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and demands
  • Excel in hypergrowth environments; versatile capable of managing multiple projects and tasks
  • Communicate effectively with teammates and various levels of management as well as external contacts
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrates professionalism and maturity in handling confidential information
