Chem Bay Operator
DIVISION: Crops
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager STATUS: NonExempt
Position Overview
Run chemical bay effectively and efficiently to keep product to the operators and keep equipment in chemical bay running properly.
Essential Job Functions
Blend chemicals according to recommended rates and procedures
Responsible for inventory control
Records and tracks application loads sent out to operators
Prepares material handling blending and storage equipment for blending and delivery of product
Mixing and loading dry fertilizer
Repairs and rebuilds equipment as needed
Requirements
Have or be able to obtain a CDL and commercial applicators license
Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds
Must be able to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands
Demonstrate basic math skills including the ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole number common fractions and decimals along with the ability to compute rate ratio and percent
Other Skills/Abilities
Proven professional communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment
Basic computer skills as they relate to the custom application business
All other duties as assigned
