Job Description

Early Childhood Psychosocial Group Leader Assistant/Attendantto work fulltime in Atchison.

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth Atchison and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We are the only provider that offers counseling case management psychosocial and medication services all at the same site. Salary and Benefits for Early Childhood Psychosocial Group Leader Assistant:

  • Base hourly rate of $19.69to $22.10based on relevant experience.

Primary Duties for Early Childhood Psychosocial Group Leader Assistant:

  • Provide attendant care services which assist with promoting successful completion of daily activities and assist with promoting successful group interactions among consumers.
  • Encourage and support clients efforts to effectively problemsolve and interact with others.
  • Work respectfully and supportively with clients parents/caregivers while observing appropriate boundaries
  • Cofacilitate groups as assigned and assist with development of group program curriculum.
  • Encourage and support clients engagement in prosocial and YPP activities.
  • Encourage and support clients efforts to effectively problemsolve and interact successfully with others

Minimum Qualifications for Early Childhood Psychosocial Group LeaderAssistant:

EDUCATION:

  • High school graduate or GED required. Must have completed one year of college course work inthe field of human services or have one year of experience in the field of human services or one year combination of education and work experience in the field of human services

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: at least 6 months experience working with individuals in the community. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included. Preferred: experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
