About the Role
Ensure sterilising services at Mater Hospital are delivered in line with all relevant Australian and international standards
Uphold the philosophy mission and values of Mater Hospital while providing highquality sterilisation services
Adhere to the scope of practice for sterilising technicians following Mater Hospitals policies and procedures
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of sterilisation processes ensuring compliance and best practice standards
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient sterilisation services
Assist with the training and development of staff to ensure competency in sterilising techniques and protocols
About You
Qualification TAFE Certificate III in Sterilising Services. Preferred but not essential.
Experience working within a sterilising services setting
Willingness to undertake shift work schedule. Without fixed working days.
Highlevel sterilising technical skills with a focus on safety and compliance
Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a healthcare environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to accurately document and communicate information
Strong time management skills able to meet critical deadlines and handle a high workload
Highlevel computer literacy and proficiency with sterilisation systems and databases
A commitment to providing excellent technical service and upholding industry standards
Methodical detailoriented and thorough in your approach to sterilising processes
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain sterilising equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to adapt to challenging situations
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient safety and care standards
