The Opportunity

How Youll Make an Impact
- Support the Supply Chain in developing new suppliers and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Analyze material properties and their impact on product performance.
- Compare material properties using datasheets to identify optimal options.
- Ensure materials meet environmental and performance standards.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate material properties.
- Collaborate with laboratories to ensure accurate test results.
- Evaluate test results and make informed decisions on material qualification.
- Drive the standardization of parts and materials to improve efficiency.
Your Background
- Bachelors or masters degree in Materials Science & Engineering Metallurgical Science or related field with 5 years of industry experience. A PhD with 2 years of relevant experience is also considered.
- Work authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
- Familiarity with material characterization techniques and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in Production Quality Assurance and Supplier development in the Metal industry.
- Knowledge of material standards (ASTM ASME etc. and experience with AutoCAD Creo Microsoft Office SharePoint Windchill SAP.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
