Position Function:
The ideal candidate must have a primary focus of asphalt paving and be willing and able to work with more than one construction material. A demonstrated history of accomplishments with asphalt paving is required. Experiences with concrete stabilized soil aggregates polymers and/or composites are desirable. The candidate is expected to work with undergraduate and graduate students in and out of the classroom and to engage students in application driven or applied construction and materials research that can be published in high quality venues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate is responsible for supporting the teaching research and outreach mission of the department and performing assigned administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidates will ideally have an earned B.S. and Ph.D. in civil engineering from an institution offering ABETaccredited (or equivalent) degrees.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional and academic experience is highly desirable.
Candidates should have a potential for sustaining a vigorous externallyfunded research program and a dynamic portfolio of graduate and undergraduate educational competencies.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Professional Engineering license or who are on track for such licensure.
