Job Description
Due to the Security Clearance required for this applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance.
About the role
The purpose of the System Safety Engineer position is to implement and execute the application of System Safety Engineering methodologies within the Land87101A Landing Craft Medium and the broader business.
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
- Conduct the System Safety Program
- System Safety Working Groups
- Hazard Analysis workshops and develop Hazard Log
- Prepare Safety Case Report
- Support other disciplines as required
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card).
- Tertiary qualifications in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- Demonstrated maturity and depth of experience in MILSTD882E or similar.
- Demonstrated maturity and depth of experience defence acquisition and/or sustainment.
- Understanding & practical experience working within a complex project quality assurance & business improvement process and targeted & effective business solutions and outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience within a classification society or Defence Seaworthiness
- Demonstrated expertise working closely with a design team.
