JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Energy Science and Power System Division of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking an undergraduate student to assist ARL engineers in updating and applying chemical equilibrium software to model unique combustion systems.
You Will:
Develop graphical user interface that interacts with existing databases to create datasets for analysis as well as a MATLAB front end for an established FORTRAN program
Apply this tool to analyze one or more equilibrium system(s) to demonstrate the use of the toolset
The successful candidate will have an interest in chemical thermodynamics combined with a strong aptitude for computer programming including MATLAB and GUI creation.
Mandatory Position Description Requirements: Students in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Computer Science / Engineering or Engineering Science and Mechanics are encouraged to apply.
