Job Description
What you will be doing!
As a Network Firewall Engineer you will be responsible for configuring deploying and managing our customers next generation firewall solutions and VPN technologies. You will assist with monitoring implementing configuration changes and software updates while collaborating with a team of cybersecurity experts
Requirements:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the customers next generation firewall solution.
- Maintain firewall operations and document the current environment.
- Incorporate change management into all processes and procedures.
- Create detailed technical reports covering firewall block lists device status change management hardware/software upgrades and other relevant areas.
- Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system activity.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving a wide variety of client issues with relevant experience in change control policies and procedures.
- Understand DOD information assurance policies and regulations.
- Conduct analysis of network security needs and contribute to the design integration and installation of hardware and software solutions.
- Analyze troubleshoot and resolve network problems both remotely and onsite.
- Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with Force Point Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls required.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Security CE certification or equivalent DOD 8570 baseline certification.
- Experience with Cisco Dynamic VPN (DMVPN) technology.
- In order to be considered for this position you must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.
- A Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of four 4 years of experience managing enterprise firewall and VPN solutions along with at least eight 8 years of handson networking experience.
Clearance Required:Must possess an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role
