Job Description
Overview
Location: 3920 Dutchmans Lane Louisville Kentucky 40207
Shift: First/Full Time
This position is responsible for proper operation of mechanical systems and equipment. These systems are life support systems or essential utilities including heating ventilation and air conditioning critical and commercial refrigeration special ventilation hoods terminal and control equipment pneumatic automated building systems and direct digital controls.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a Supervisor/Lead Mechanic this position will provide a safe campus including:
- Monitors trouble shoots and customizes the HVAC Energy Management System to optimize energy savings
- Completes inspections and repairs of all mechanical and refrigeration equipment according to established procedures. Lowering equipment down time and repair cost utilizing a maintenance schedule
- Completes required documentation in reference to all equipment mechanical and refrigeration systems as required by federal state and regulatory agencies
Other Functions:
- Assists other skilled workers and performs general maintenance work as needed
- Responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance of all assigned equipment utilizing a databased work order management system
- Responsible for maintaining of parts materials and supplies to perform daily job function
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Maintains compliance with all company policies procedures and standards of conduct
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or GED/Equivalent (required)
- HVAC apprenticeship or 2 years associates degree (preferred)
Experience:
- 5 years commercial/industrial HVAC and Refrigeration (required)
- 10 years commercial/industrial HVAC and Refrigeration (preferred)
Licensure:
- Current Valid Drivers License must be maintained (required)
- HVAC Journeyman (preferred)
Certification:
- EPA Technician Certification (preferred)
