Job Description
Minnehaha Academy is a Christian school and a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America.
Our mission is to provide a high quality education integrating Christian faith and learning.
Minnehaha Academys Summer Programs is seeking a Physical Education Instructor to prepare and teach PE classes for PreK through 8thgrade students at our 4200 West River Parkway location over the eight weeks of camp.
Camp Dates: June 9 August 1 2025
(Please note: There will be no camp on June 19 and July 4.
Hours: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM Monday through Thursday.
Salary Range: $20.00 $22.00 per hour.
Qualifications and Position Details:
- Physical Education experience (teaching) is preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children in a church school or camp setting is preferred.
- Ability to plan and implement ageappropriate activities.
- Ability to maintain a wellbehaved camp environment.
- A passion for working and engaging with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children parents and staff.
- Ability to coordinate with the Summer Programs Director regarding the ordering of supplies.
- Supportive of Minnehaha Academys mission.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
- This position can serve as an internship opportunity.
