The Role
We are seeking a Sr. Audit Manager for a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to work with clients in a variety of industries such as NonProfit Small Business Construction Real Estate Retail Education and more. The ideal candidate be eager for professional growth and have substantial experience conducting audits within public accounting. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills be teamoriented and thrive with direct client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively plan and execute assurance engagements.
- Identify business process risks and develop recommendations based on audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance audit efficiency and overall department operations.
- Optimize workflows refine methodologies and contribute to the strategic growth of the audit department.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the operational development of the audit function.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and clients.
- Supervise train and evaluate staff on client engagements.
- Organize and monitor progress of client engagement in relation to budgets and due dates.
- Manage daytoday client relationships.
- Function as communication channel between senior leadership clients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- CPA
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 7 years of experience carrying out audit methodologies & techniques within public accounting
- Indepth knowledge of US GAAP guidelines
- NonProfit and/or Construction industry experience
- Strong communication skills
- Experience overseeing training and mentoring staff
- Ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance audit efficiency and operations
- Ability to optimize workflows and contribute to the strategic growth of the audit department
- Strong operational mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and team development
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent work ethic and a sense of humor are a must!
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in performing Uniform Guidance Yellow Book Single Audits or/and Employee Benefit Plan audits
