Job Description

ING Australias most recommended bank is seeking Performance Reporting Lead to work within our Management Reporting team in Sydney.

You will be responsible for the production of timely accurate and insightful reporting and analytics of Local and Head Office management reporting and information to the senior management team. This includes owning the business processes and services preparation review risk management and control processes in relation to finances management reporting information and reports delivering analysis key insights and components of financial closing related to the banks financial and nonfinancial performance data.

The role will involve senior stakeholder interaction (up to Exco level) and you will need to have the ability to explain your rational to this level of stakeholder. You will also need to be able to coach mentor and direct workflow for more junior team members in the managers absence.

What youll do

  • Reporting delivery for ING Australia entities which includes review and management of Head Office and Local management reporting requirements (monthly quarterly) and additional reporting requests as required
  • Prepare performance reports and provide insightful commentaries highlighting trends and drivers measuring against expectations/plan historical and potential future outcomes
  • Review and develop reporting systems and procedures to ensure appropriate levels of governance are in place
  • Provide interpretation high quality analysis and considered insights to senior stakeholders in the businesses to support performance measurement and enhance decision making ability
  • Manage and coach more junior team members in managers absence

What were looking for

  • 5 to 10 years of accounting experience preferable in retail banking ideally focused on management reporting
  • Degree qualifications in Finance/Accounting and CA/CPA Qualified
  • Experience in financial modelling and implementation of Excel quality controls
  • An ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach guide and mentor junior team members and direct workflow
