Job Description

TuneCore Engineering develops web applications in the music space supporting our talented customers and internal operations.  Were looking for a Senior level Software Development Engineer in Test to help build the worlds best distribution and artist development platform in the world.  As a Senior level Software Development Engineer in Test you will work with designers product managers and other engineers to implement new features on our platform with a focus on automated testing monitoring and observability.  Youll provide technical leadership mentor junior engineers and contribute clean high quality code. Our current technology stack consists mostly of Ruby on Rails and React but we are always looking to use the tools that are most appropriate for the task at hand. 

What Youll Do:

  • Actively participate in all phases of software development life cycle focuses on making improvements to quality assurance

  • Perform integration endtoend and regression testing to validate production readiness

  • Develop implement and maintain automated test systems and scripts

  • Implement appropriate system monitoring and observability

  • Conduct both manual and automated testing ensuring comprehensive coverage

  • Collaborate with software engineers to enhance functional and nonfunctional testing protocols.

  • Mentor & guide other SDETS in best practices thought leadership & career development

  • Contribute clean clear highquality production code

  • Uphold TuneCores core mission vision and values


Qualifications :

  • 5 years of test automation framework building experience.

  • 5 years of experience writing code with a modern e2e framework such as playwright and cypress using CI/CD tools such as CircleCi or TravisCi.

  • 5 years experience writing code with a modern integration framework such as Minitest and Capybara.

  • Experience writing code within the context of a webbased framework such as Ruby Node or Python along with an ORM.

  • A strong understanding of React.

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.


Additional Information :

Salary Range: $121700   $175200

This role will be based out of our New York City office. TuneCore operates on a hybrid model giving our teams flexibility and choice in how they work. Employees have the option to work from our office 7 days per month on a flexible schedule organized at the department level.
