Description
- Developing and implementing reclamation and remediationplans on abandoned upstream oil and gas sites
- Overseeing the completion of assessment remediation andreclamation projects
- Overseeing completion of spill assessments containmentrecovery and remediation activities
- Coordinating and supervising heavy equipment and otherthirdparty contractors as required
- Assisting with the oversight of client budgets trackingproject statuses and making recommendations to progress sites towardregulatory closure
- Coordinate with clients and staff to execute EnvironmentalSite Assessments (Phase 1 ESAs Stage 1 PSIs Phase 2 ESAs Stage 2 PSIs)vegetation assessments groundwater monitoring programs and reclamationassessments (DSAs reclamation inspections and Schedule B reclamationinspections)
- Collaborate with members of the Technical Resource Group todevelop site specific remediation guidelines
- Work closely and develop relationships with landownersclient operations government regulatory personnel and other stakeholders
- Work closely with interdisciplinary groups (TechnicalResource Group Data Management Group Biophysical team and VegetationManagement team) to execute client projects successfully and programs
- Compile various technical documents and reports includingDSA RoOs reclamation inspection reports Phase 2 ESA reports Stage 2 PSIreports spill assessments remediation reports Record of Site Conditionforms Certificate of Restoration (CoR) applications and reclamationcertificate applications
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff
- Provide support to senior staff as required
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of consulting experience related toremediation reclamation or environmental science
- Knowledgeable and capable of completing various fieldassessments in Alberta and British Columbia
- Good understanding of upstream oil and gas regulatoryrequirements in British Columbia and Alberta
- Knowledge and experience working with various types offarming and heavy equipment
- Vegetation and identification skills in both forestedand cultivated landscapes
- Willingness to travel and be in the field as dictated byproject requirements
- Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmentalscience or related discipline is preferred but not required
- Registration or eligibility to obtain designation with arecognized professional organization
- Excellent communication writing and problemsolvingskills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and database entry
- Valid drivers license
- Willingness to work within a team environment
- Highly organized and can prioritizemultiple tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
