Job Description
General Summary of Position:
Engineering Biology:
The successful applicants will work on one or two projects investigating the 1 digital integration of freezedrying (lyophilization) of biologics and mRNA 2 digital twin modeling system development of biologics 3 synthetic biology project of biologics Cell&Gene therapy biomanufacturing and 4 mRNA continuous production process. The position will be core staff of a federally funded projects with a few industry collaborators. The initial appointment will be for ONE year with a possibility of renewal based on productivity and performance and the availability of funding.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Education:
- PhD in Chemical Biochemical Bioengineering Biotechnology or related discipline
Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have a background in mammalian cell culture cell & gene therapy mRNA therapeutics synthetic biology metabolic modeling analytical technologies and data sciences (AI/ML kinetic modeling).
- At least 2 years of work experiences in these areas are required
- The candidate should also be comfortable working in a team of both academic and industry scientists
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential qualifications
Additional Considerations:
Prior grant writing experience desirable
Experience in development of CHO cell Cell & Gene based biotherapeutics bioinformatics Transcriptomics Multivariate Statistics flowsheet modeling HPLC massspec modeling tools
