Job Details Lead Data Scientist

We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist / Data Science Manager to take ownership of our market pricing models and drive datadriven decisionmaking at scale. In this role you will lead a team of data scientists to develop deploy and optimize advanced models that predict market dynamics and competitor behaviour.

As a senior leader in the Market Models team you will work closely with pricing underwriting product and commercial teams to shape strategic pricing decisions. You will drive innovation in algorithmic pricing market modelling and external data integration ensuring that our models remain cuttingedge and commercially impactful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the market modelling strategy ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Lead mentor and develop a highperforming team of data scientists fostering innovation and technical excellence.

  • Experience of working in Insurance

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders (Csuite Directors Underwriting and Pricing leadership) to influence pricing strategies based on model insights.

  • Drive adoption of realtime pricing strategies machine learning models and market intelligence analytics.

  • Oversee the development and deployment of predictive that forecast competitor pricing and behaviour customer demand and market dynamics.

  • Lead the integration of machine learning models into production systems ensuring scalability accuracy and compliance.

  • Evaluate new data sources to enhance pricing intelligence.

  • Ensure rigorous model validation monitoring and governance to maintain model robustness.

  • Partner with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure seamless model deployment.

  • Work closely with pricing teams to translate model outputs into actionable pricing strategies.

  • Influence regulatory and compliance discussions ensuring models align with industry standards and ethical pricing principles.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring data science teams.

  • Strong expertise in pricing analytics market modelling and demand forecasting.

  • Deep knowledge of machine learning statistical modeling and optimization techniques (GBMs Bayesian methods deep learning etc..

  • Expertlevel proficiency in Python or SQL for model development and deployment.

  • Experience with cloudbased big data technologies (AWS Google Cloud Snowflake Databricks Spark AzureML).

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data science insights into commercial strategies.

  • Track record of deploying models into production and integrating them into decisionmaking frameworks.
