Join us for an exciting opportunity to be part of and shape our brandnew Specialist Community Stop Smoking Service in Tameside. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in building a transformative project from the ground up making a lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of individuals within our diverse and vibrant community.

We are seeking a Smoke Free Advisor to join our team. In this role you will play a vital role in delivering a highquality stopsmoking service empowering individuals to take meaningful steps toward healthier lives. The position will focus on supporting those with added vulnerabilities; including those engaged with CGLs substance use service; proactively supporting people experiencing domestic abuse; reaching out to individuals that are homeless or at risk of homelessness; and identifying people who are from a black and minority ethnic background and/or use niche tobacco. We will help individuals to access appropriate smoking cessation provision through the delivery of harm reduction behaviour change and tobacco treatment provision.

These interventions will be delivered facetoface within the community and will be tailored for individuals or delivered in a group setting depending on their needs.

Part Time Hours: 0.6FTE 22.5 hours per week)

Full Time Salary Range: 24833..53 (based on full time working hours pro rata for part time)

About the Role

In this role you will play a key part in delivering a highquality stop smoking service helping individuals take steps toward healthier lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Promoting the benefits of a smokefree life and raising awareness of stop smoking services through community engagement and events.
• Delivery of highquality harm reduction behaviour change and treatment interventions
• Work within NRT and Ecigarette protocols.
• To engage with targeted groups of people with specific support needs to raise awareness of smoking impacts and encourage engagement.
• To work alongside partners within Tameside to promote the service and initiate referrals including hosting training events delivering drop in sessions and providing group sessions

About You
Were looking for someone with:

• Experience working in health and/or social care settings.
• Complete assessments and deliver interventions matched to identified needs
• Knowledge of the harmful effects of smoking and an understanding of smoking cessation policies and treatments.
• Provide behavioural support using motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Products
• A commitment to providing highquality personcentred services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic recording systems.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• A nonjudgemental attitude towards communities that have been historically underrepresented in Smoking Cessation services.
