Job Description
A construction supply company based in Brooklyn is looking for a dedicated Purchaser Coordinator to join their team. This fulltime position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100k to $150k. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in procurement particularly in the importing sector and a strong reputation in the product development field.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire purchasing process for the importing part of the business.
- Coordinate with international suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure the best deals.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain stock.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and inventory.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role especially in the importing sector.
- Strong reputation in the product development field is a significant plus.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
