Heres how aBuilding Systems Coordinatorfor our Ottawaoffice contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Assists project team with coordination of building systems trades for compliance to drawings specifications quality and schedule.
  • Assists with coordination drawing process.
  • Reads and understands the building systems trade contractor qualitymanagement programs. Witnesses onsite field testing and records results.
  • Assists project team with building systems commissioning document deliverables.
  • Attends management and architect meetings related to building systems.
  • Adheres and supports internal safety programs.
  • Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Tradesperson or postsecondary diploma/degree in a related discipline (e.g. mechanical electrical controls) is preferred.
  • Some coop or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with construction progress and sequencing.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a facepaced environment.
  • Planning organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask prioritize tasks with conflicting deadlines and delegate tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered a strong asset.
