Assists the Nurse Manager in administrating the day to day operation of the following departments:
Prep/Recovery Unit
Post Anesthesia Care Unit
Preadmission Testing Unit
Serves as a role model for professional nursing practice
Maintains 24hour a day line management and responsibility in administration of personnel fiscal and material resources
Utilizes the hospital mission to implement system changes in health care delivery that maintain quality patient care and fiscal integrity
Creatively responds to changes in the work setting
Participates in program planning for new projects
Knowledgeable in clinical areas of supervision using defined processes to establish goals and outcomes which reflect systems integration in todays dynamic health care environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Licenses and Certifications Required
Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
BLS certification required within orientation period.
ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment in PACU.
TNCC preferred.
Specialty certification in area of practice is desirable.
Educational Requirements
RN program as evidenced by licensure.
Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where Degree was received.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of successful nursing practice which have included a supervisory/leadership role.
