Our nonproperty team members support property and the evolution of other areas within our platform.They can enjoy remotefirst work with the freedom to choose their location as long as they have access to a workspace and reliable WiFi. We believe collaboration is key so our remotefirst teams and property leaders have biannual inperson gettogethers at various locations across the US.

The Impact Youll Have
At Placemakr we are obsessed with service and believe in providing exceptional experiences to our valued guests residents and partners. As an Event Coordinator you will be the driving force behind executing events for the special event venue space at our Pittsburgh PA property. Youll create seamless experiences manage event logistics and play a key role in building relationships that inspire repeat business and positive wordofmouth. Reporting to the Director of Event Sales leadership the ideal candidate for the Event Coordinator position requires organization skills an eye for detail and the ability to multitask prioritize and delegate duties are imperative. Excellent communication skills are required to create productive relationships with vendors and sponsors which is key to a successful career.
This position is located onsite at our Pittsburgh PA property. The Event Coordinator is a parttime position 25 hours/week) and pays $22.44/hour. This person will be required to work evenings nights and weekends based on the needs of the business and our guests.
What Youll Do
- Oversee all aspects of dayof events including venue setup logistics and dayof coordination to ensure flawless .
- Serve as the first point of contact for vendors and contractors providing direction and support as needed.
- Support the Director of Event Sales with conducting property tours and educating potential clients on our event spaces and potential.
- Support with client communication responding to inquiries resolving issues and providing exceptional service throughout the planning and event process.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and secure permits as needed for food beverage dcor entertainment and other services.
- Partner with property leadership and nonproperty teams to ensure alignment on event goals and deliverables to ensure successful event .
- Monitor event areas during the event and ensure safety of all guests.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may ariseduring the event.
- Oversee the breakdown of events and ensure that all items are removed and all event materials are stored properly following the event.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What It Takes
- 23 years of experience in event management hospitality or related fields (experience with wedding events management is a plus)
- CMP CSEP CPCE or similar certifications a plus!
- Proficiency in project management events or CRM software and tools is preferred
- Detailorientation and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences to internal team members clients and vendors alike
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver a message clearly and professionally across varying levels of team members and external partners
- Ability to manage crossfunctional relationships competing priorities and time and resources proactively in a fastpaced everchanging environment
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
$22.44 $22.44 an hour
