Job Description
Keystone Turbine Services a division of Precision Aviation Group is a leader in the MRO (maintenance repair overhaul) industry for general aviation aircraft. Our clean airconditioned facility is located in Coatesville PA and has an opening in our Machine Shop for a Manual Machinist. This is a great opportunity for an individual with strong mechanical experience to get into the aviation industry.Previous machinist work is valued but not required for all roles.
The Manual Machinist uses a variety of tools to machine component parts for aircraft engines.
Essential Functions include:
- Operate machining tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
- Modify parts and materials to improve overall production.
- Test completed equipment to detect and remove defects.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments.
Ideal candidates will offer:
- Must possess a full understanding and handson experience with manual lathes manual milling machines and related machine shop equipment
- Strong mechanical skills and mechanical aptitude
- Job shop machinist with a minimum of 5 yearsexperience
- Strong mathematical skills
- Proficient in the use of micrometers Vernier calipers and indicators
- This is a primarily standing position at least 80 of the day. Must be able to push/pull at least 50lbs. ability to reach above bend over and carry at least 30 lbs.
