Job Description
Qualis Corporation is seeking a Junior Modeling and Simulation Engineer with basic knowledge of Alternative Position Velocity and Timing algorithms to join our team of wellqualified diverse individuals at our Huntsville AL office.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the development RF modeling simulation and analysis tools using MATLAB
- Assist in the development and application of algorithms methods and theories in the investigation and solution of alternative position velocity and timing acquisition
- Participate in verification and validation activities for system requirements
- Perform RF system analyses using modeling and simulation methods
- Assist in preparing test documentation for inclusion in test and evaluation reports
- Participate in integrated test teams
- Support technical interchange meetings and stakeholder briefings
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science (BS) Degree in a System Electrical Computer Software Aerospace Aeronautical Engineering or another STEM program from an ABET accredited university
- 1 years of relevant work experience in modeling and simulation development test and evaluation or navigation algorithm development
- Candidate must be proficient in MATLAB
- Candidate must have the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word PowerPoint and Excel
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance
- Candidate must be located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville AL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in System Electrical Computer or other related technical Engineering from an ABETaccredited university
- Hold an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Top Secret clearance preferred
- Possess an understanding of engineering principles such as Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) RF communications measurement and estimation techniques and error correction theory and implementation
- Experience supporting projects for the Department of Defense
- Knowledge of Kalman filtering or other optimization methods
- Knowledge of machine learning methods
- Possess excellent timemanagement skills to contribute to multiple tasks concurrently
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possess excellent presentation skills
