Location: Houston TX (Corporate)

Reports To: HR Service Center Manager

Employment Type: Full Time Non Exempt

Role Overview

The Human Resources Service Center Associate plays a pivotal role in the effective and efficient delivery of HR services and technology for the organization. Under supervision this position entails providing support for and prompt resolution of HRrelated inquiries issues and services related to benefits support compensation talent acquisition support employee relations and engagement support reporting and HR technology. Collaboration with local HR Business Partners Corporate Centers of Expertise the HR Technology Solutions team as well as employees and managers will be essential to the effective resolution of assigned cases.

Key Responsibilities

The HR Service Center Associate will be responsible for triaging and working on assigned cases with the goal of resolving those cases in a timely and effective manner consistent with Company policy and best practices. This role may be assigned cases which may include HRBP Support COE Support and Reporting support that are varied in nature and may be nonroutine. Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders with a positive solutionsoriented approach.
  • Provide frontline support for HR Technology applications including the Service Center ticketing system by triaging incoming catalog requests and incidents.
  • Answer primarily routine questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist users with navigating applications including selfservice functionalities.
  • Respond timely to assigned cases consistently meeting or exceeding service delivery standards.
  • Utilize problem solving skills to obtain additional information from the relevant parties to ensure a thorough understanding of the case facts; conduct any additional research or inquiries needed to uncover and analyze root causes and recommend best practice solutions.
  • Implement approved solutions designed to effectively resolve the case.
  • Follow approved procedures to thoroughly document case information research and resolution outcomes in the case management system or other approved applications and develop training materials and provide training sessions to endusers as needed.
  • Maintain the U.S. Labor Law poster subscriptions and Workers Comp postings.
  • May assist with preparing ad hoc reports or working on special projects or events such as audits training events or other duties as assigned.

  • Meet commitments on deadlines.

Communication

  • Communicating timely and being proactive in keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Respond empathetically and professionally in all communications and interactions with employees managers and colleagues.
  • Use effective questioning and communications techniques to uncover relevant information.
  • Effectively manage expectations avoiding overpromising solutions while reinforcing that each case is taken seriously and will be resolved as soon as practical.

Cost Management

  • Perform work thoroughly in a costefficient manner and at a high productivity level.
  • Utilize company resources effectively.

Business Controls and Policies

  • Comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Take all reasonable steps to safeguard company assets against waste loss unauthorized use and misappropriation.
  • Report any breakdown in controls to a supervisor or manager.

People Management

  • No people management responsibility
  • May assist in orienting and training less experienced employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
  • 2 years of related administrative support experience in Human Resources and/or HR Technology application support.

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience working with HR technology applications particularly Workday is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in work deliverables.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work on and keep all data confidential.
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel Access PowerPoint Word).
