Job Description
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- Associate or bachelors degree (Technology field relative to Instrumentation Electrical MET Inst. Tech) or equivalent experience.
- Drafting experience with electrical systems instrumentation and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
- Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent
- Minimum 5 Years of experience as a mechanical draftsman/designer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams on equipment and component selection for design of the combustion control system.
- Use AutoCAD or smart software to develop combustion system drafting package.
- Electrical Wiring Design (Ladder diagram).
- PLC Layout and Panel Layout & Overall Schematic Design.
- Compliance Tagging and able to prepare BOMs.
- Application of relevant codes standards specifications etc. as required.
- Interact with Controls Engineer team on system design and scheduling as needed.
- Interact with Project Engineer on scheduling and clarifications with customer.
- Perform additional drafting and design duties as assigned/required by the team manager.
- Takes the job turnover package with relevant notes from Controls Engineering to generate an initial draft of the combustion control system.
- Tasking will be given directly from Controls Engineers.
- Once design is complete and finalized for release additional work may be required throughout project lifecycle based on various factors including scope creep change orders standardization etc.
