About the Role
The position provides Pastoral Care Services to patients families significant others and staff of the Mater Hospital Sydney.
The candidate must have
Qualifications in Pastoral Care Clinical Pastoral Education 1 unit (CPE1 is mandatory. Experience in chaplaincy counselling psychology health or theology is preferable.
Understanding of Clinical Pastoral issues and employment experience in a health care or other complex setting.
Understanding of Catholic tradition and the sacraments of the Catholic Church
Understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and Mission identity of the Mater Hospital and St Vincents Health Australia
Excellent organisation and communication skills
The position will work within the framework of the Mission Vision Values and Philosophy of St Vincents Health Australia. The position will maintain personal and professional standards in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Pastoral Care in Health Care Settings and the Code of Conduct of SVHA.
